5 Week Sunday Workshop Starts 28 Aug

Burn up your creative energy in a series of classes over five consecutive Sundays from 1pm to 4:30pm. The tutor’s aim is to host workshops that inspire creativity and enhance confidence in using screenprinting equipment - Bookings Essential. Each session is three and half hours. PLEASE PAY THE ENTIRE COURSE FEE OF $360 ON ARRIVAL OF YOUR FIRST SESSION, or before if preferred (cash, card or bank transfer accepted. Small classes - max. three students Comprehensive notes provided. Tuition is provided for screenprinting on paper, including photo emulsion and hand cut stencils, editioning and monotypes. Screenprinting on fabric is not included. A4 sized images. Student quality acrylic ink and printing paper included. No experience necessary. Tutor: Catherine Tempest ​If you have Covid symptoms or have been told to isolate during the five week course, you must not attend class. Unfortunately, individual sessions are non refundable and non transferable. What do you need to bring? A high contrast, uncomplicated A4 size concept with a simple colour scheme. This can be on a digital device, sketched, painted or cut and pasted etc. In the first week you will learn how to turn your concept into stencils for screen printing. - Apron or old clothes because screen printing gets messy! - Closed-in shoes are a must for safety. - Safety goggles (you can buy these at Bunnings) - not required for the first week. - Face mask (unless exempt) ABOUT THE TUTOR Catherine Tempest has a Bachelor of Art Theory UNSW Art & Design, Sydney which included an exchange semester of drawing and printmaking at Aberystwyth University, Wales, an Advanced Diploma Visual Art majoring in printmaking and photography, Newcastle Art School, and a Cert IV in Assessment & Workplace Training.
