Learn to Screenprint 4 x Sundays in Feb

Service Description

This workshop is a series of classes over four consecutive Sundays from 1pm to 5pm. The tutor’s aim is to instruct participants in the basic process of screenprinting on paper and enhance confidence in using screenprinting equipment - Bookings Essential. Each session is four hours. An invoice will be emailed to you after booking. PLEASE PAY THE ENTIRE COURSE FEE OF $320 ON ARRIVAL OF YOUR FIRST SESSION, or before if preferred (cash, card or bank transfer accepted. Small classes - max. three students Comprehensive notes and all materials provided. Tuition is provided for screenprinting on paper, including photo emulsion, hand cut stencils and multi colour registration. Screenprinting on fabric is not included. IMPORTANT: Please use your own original images and designs. Get permission for, and credit, any referenced material if exhibiting or selling your work. Images licensed for free use may be for specific use only, always check the licence. No experience necessary. Tutor: Catherine Tempest ​If you are unwell and have contagious symptoms during the course, you must not attend class. Unfortunately, individual sessions are non refundable and non transferable. Make up sessions are only available only if there are places in other workshops. What do you need to bring? - Closed-in shoes are a must for safety and preferably comfortable flat ones, as you will mostly be standing. - Snacks and drinks if desired. - Eye glasses for close-up work if you need them. Once you complete this course and can work independently and safely, you can book studio hours to work on your own projects. You will also get discounts on the themed workshops which run regularly. ABOUT THE TUTOR Catherine Tempest has a Bachelor of Art Theory UNSW Art & Design, Sydney which included an exchange semester of drawing and printmaking at Aberystwyth University, Wales, an Advanced Diploma Visual Art majoring in printmaking and photography, Newcastle Art School, and a Cert IV in Assessment & Workplace Training.
